I was looking forward to doing the Conversational Reframing course as I was familiar with reframing but wanted a course that would go into more detail in a way that was educational but also applicable in a real world context. I wasn’t disappointed with it.

I was overwhelmed by some of the stories; I genuinely found them magical and beautiful, i.e. the story of the 2 monks is one that I’ll never forget.

The tone of the training was informative and informal, which I think is a testament to Mark and the other presenters.

The course was excellent value for money and had a lot of useful ideas that you can apply. I have already highlighted the next course with Mark that I want to go on.

I very much enjoyed that after completing the course, I was able to integrate the use of hypnotherapy in my own practice right away. I use hypnotherapy during sessions with most of my clients and I believe it has helped them to make progress much faster, as well as learn about the benefits of relaxing deeply while training the unconscious mind to generate more adaptive responses. I enjoyed learning about how communicating with clients about the unconscious mind is in itself hypnotic and can be good preparation for future successful sessions using hypnotherapy.

My first time using the Rewind Technique was with a 65-year-old man who had an extreme needle phobia his whole life. He had not had a shot in 40 years and his wife wanted him to get his COVID vaccine. In the past 40 years, when he would attempt to get a shot, he would either show up at the doctor’s office then bolt out of there right away, faint, or vomit. His reaction was extreme.

I used the Rewind Technique for the two sessions I did with him. When he showed up for his second session, his wife was waiting for him in the car and she was going to take him right to the clinic to get his shot after this session. When the session was finished, he said, “Wish me luck.”

He emailed me two days later telling me that after his session with me, they went right to the clinic. The nurse told him he would have to wait 15 minutes before his shot. He calmly waited 15 minutes, then received the needle, feeling calm and relaxed the whole time. He walked out of the clinic feeling relaxed.

Learning the Rewind Technique has raised the level of my practice. Thank you Mark and the whole team at Uncommon Knowledge.

I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and have been using the VK Disassociation technique successfully for a number of years. I found the course comprehensive and the live demonstrations of the Rewind Technique very beneficial. There is always more to learn to enhance therapy sessions and enable the client to achieve the outcomes they want. I would recommend this course whether you are a novice or seasoned hypnotherapist.

I can’t imagine a more useful resource to base a psychotherapy practice around. The unique combination of knowledge, research, wisdom, experience and practice examples makes it invaluable and something that I will treasure and use for the rest of my days practicing. I love the monthly Q&A, the humour and genuine willingness to help others (therapists and their clients) comes across really powerfully. Mark and Joe are clearly lovely caring people and I can’t thank you enough.

I really enjoy the Uncommon Practitioners TV – seeing hypnotherapy ‘in action’ is very useful. It’s great to be able to see how Mark approaches the sessions, picking up on the clients language patterns and is a marvellous resource because after qualifying most hypnotherapists don’t get the opportunity to see other professionals at work. The breakdown on the techniques is great too. Can I also say how helpful I found the customer service team – great job. Thank you!

I have gained so much from the professional knowledge within the course and UPTV in general. It did scare me that I was being trained as a Hypnotherapist but had no background in Psychotherapy at all. I feel I am better equipped now and I still have the information to hand to re-visit whenever I need it. I definitely have a better understanding of why and how issues arise and the information was presented in a way that was easy to understand and related to real life examples. I have gained more confidence as a practitioner as a result and am now building up my practice. Highly recommended. Thank you.

I had heard a lot about the Rewind Technique but it seemed like a closely guarded secret. I wondered if it was complicated. I looked at a course using this for birth trauma aimed at therapists and midwives, which I have been for 16 years. But that was £3,000! So by comparison, this course is excellent value and valuable for all trauma. The concept is so simple yet so effective. The materials are so straightforward and easy to follow and understand and for the novice you can print out the scripts. All this without leaving home makes it fantastic!

Well presented and very clear instruction; love Mark’s relaxed and clear delivery. Great support materials and Uncommon U is friendly and inclusive. The lonely world of practitioners is a little smaller and more supportive.

This technique has proven to be quite effective in my practice and is now one of my favorite tools for helping clients renegotiate trauma so that they can move on with their lives. For example, one person said that she had a totally different relationship with the memory of a childhood sexual assault. Another got rid of an insect phobia. Another was finally able to feel better after grieving the loss of a spouse. Definitely a good tool to have at your disposal if you are working with trauma.
