This course has helped to pinpoint and relay a metaphorical story to a client (or in my case, to clients in a group setting) that they might rely on later on in a stressful or dangerous situation. It also helps me to understand that there needn’t be an immediate “ah-ha” moment for the client(s). Planting seeds can be more productive than working for an immediate response. I now understand that I needn’t anticipate big hugs and “oh, wow” kind of responses. Trust in the unconscious to works its way toward new a healthier solutions in the background.
