What I like about the Precision Hypnosis course is the ability to continually refer back to the learning material. Each time I enjoy listening to a lecture I pick up something else. Learning is a work in process and mastering any new skill takes time, repetition and practice.

I just feel more natural now and if I choose to use a script as a guide, I find myself naturally wandering off and making the session even more interesting and engaging for the client. I still like to use a script for the psych-education part of the session as a guide but even that has become more of a conversation.

I also love listening to the monthly Q&A sessions, they are very informative.

Just listening to Mark and Roger’s delivery is beneficial, they model the skills as they teach them. As a counsellor I use many of the skills from this course with my clients, women who have suffered violence and abuse of many kinds, and I can see the immediate effect on their bodies as they start to relax for the first time in a long time. The course helped me become more aware of the effect of the quality of my voice, my presence and body language to create a healing environment for my clients.

This course has helped to pinpoint and relay a metaphorical story to a client (or in my case, to clients in a group setting) that they might rely on later on in a stressful or dangerous situation. It also helps me to understand that there needn’t be an immediate “ah-ha” moment for the client(s). Planting seeds can be more productive than working for an immediate response. I now understand that I needn’t anticipate big hugs and “oh, wow” kind of responses. Trust in the unconscious to works its way toward new a healthier solutions in the background.

Really enjoying UPTV and finding it very useful personally and with helping me dealing with family, relationships and career. The information is life changing and even more so when demonstrated with real clients by video. To see Mark expertly help some of these peeps with very difficult, long term issues is such a great resource for practitioners and anybody who is stuck and needs help to get out of their own way. They are put into categories dealing with the common problems of today stress, anxiety, overwhelm, addiction, depression, break ups and break downs. I cannot recommend highly enough and the value is off the chart. A very much needed resource….keep going.

With onscreen notes, and later commentary and analysis, Uncommon U has put a lot of time and thought into the teaching value of each video. You’ll find a great deal that is relevant and worth the time of watching.

The almost entire session is in the video to get a sense of how to build rapport, how to subtly introduce ideas, how quick the hypnosis can be at times, and how to end the session. There are helpful notes on the screen occasionally that reference the technique Mark is using. And a commentary video and analysis notes after each session. It shows that Uncommon U has put a lot of time and thought into each video to teach the techniques in a valuable way.

Once you experience using conversational reframing you will notice how clients response to it. It is very impacting and I see my clients absorbing it and changing in front of me. The course is easy to to understand and it has been very user friendly to make it part of my sessions. It made me more aware that people think in a metaphorical way and it definitely broadens their perspectives. I will definitely recommend this course to my fellow colleagues.

I have used the Rewind Technique for my clients with very good results. It is an effective tool for treating trauma/PTSD.

The structure of the course is clear, concise, and applicable when it comes to using the techniques and treat my own clients. And the course is packed with content; going through everything only once is not enough.

What I particularly like is that there is no need to re-expose the patient to the traumatic content, thus avoiding further harm. It is a gentle way to treat them, with better results than other treatment methods I used before.

One of my patients (traumatised for 20+ years and a sort of social phobia) recovered fast and well. I taught her self-hypnosis and an anchor to help her relax very fast, did the Rewind with her, and the next day she reported she feels better, not that “burdened” any more, “it feels different”. I asked about the social phobia; she said, “Which phobia?” It turned out she used her anchor in social situations – which helped her lots.

I have more background knowledge than before. My former training in England was excellent, but what I learned with you is really, really great! I was able to complement my knowledge with many new insights. The same applies to the other courses which I really love and enjoy. I have become much more fluent to work in both languages, English and German, which makes it easier to work with my clients and feel more confident with them myself. And I learn every day more how to deal with their issues in a better, more therapeutic way.

Conversational reframing is an essential therapeutic tool on many levels. For a start, it helps to build rapport with the client and this trust is essential to allow them to commit to therapeutic interventions. It builds an awareness of how the language we use can either promote or interfere with the client’s recovery. Learning to use reframes allows the clients to ‘see’ a path forward, improving motivation and commitment to implement new ways of acting.

I highly recommend UPTV. UPTV provides a creative way to share and teach specific therapeutic methods and techniques by viewing Mark and his clients in real-life therapy sessions. Mark is a very gifted therapist and teacher and I appreciate his dedication and willingness to share his gifts so I can learn and improve my therapy skills to help my clients.

It’s great to see actual client sessions, seeing how you deliver suggestions and reframes, your response to a client’s resistance, body language. I have found that actually being there with you in a session, certain pieces of language become embedded in my mind and I have used these in a session. I am a very visual/kinesthetic learner so this is great for me.
