This Gratitude Worksheet is designed to help you encourage your clients to cultivate a gratitude practice, proven to boost mental and physical health. Regular gratitude can increase alertness, enthusiasm, optimism, and energy, while also improving immune function and reducing symptoms of depression. The worksheet equips you with structured activities to help clients shift their focus from problems to a more balanced perspective, recognizing the benefits even in challenging situations. These activities include:
  • Identifying current struggles: Clients list their current stressors, setting the stage for reframing these challenges.
  • Practising ‘at least-ing’: Reframe each listed challenge by finding a positive twist, helping clients recognize what could be worse and fostering gratitude for the current state.
  • Behavioural task to practice gratitude: Encourage daily gratitude exercises outside of your sessions.
Through working with the exercises on the sheet, you and your clients will experience:
  • Enhanced emotional resilience: Clients develop stronger emotional health by regularly focusing on positive aspects of their lives.
  • Reduced pessimism and depression: Break the cycle of negativity that often exacerbates mental health issues.
  • Increased client engagement: A clear framework for engaging clients in positive psychological exercises.
