Kris Jones

I have used the Rewind technique a few times to treat people who have been “haunted” by a memory and the results have been very positive.

More recently, I saw a young man who required surgery for testicular cancer and as part of post-op care he has regular checkups, although the outcome and prognosis is good. However, when a cannula was placed into his arm to administer the dye, he passed out. He did not appear to be troubled by the most obvious indications of PTSD, such as flashbacks and nightmares, but he was experiencing difficulty concentrating at work, he had become hypervigilant in terms of self- monitoring his body, and his sleep was disturbed. He likened the feeling he experienced when the cannula was inserted to when, as a child, he had been prepared for an operation. So, I threw that into the mix with the trauma of diagnosis and period of uncertainty (memories he had identified as difficult) and used the Rewind Technique.

I received a text message a few days after to say that he felt much better, more relaxed, and confident. The additional work I did to enhance confidence, I very much based on your client conversation with Tony.

I also used Rewind with a client who, in a professional capacity, had to attend a Coroner’s Court and was feeling anxious. Apparently she remained calm and was in fact praised for her contribution.

So, thank you so much for providing me with another truly significant and life-changing tool!
